Lucky You

We have a friend that is LUCKY. On a trip home from Utah we took a detour through Virginia City. He put ONE quarter in one slot machine and won $500...this was 30 years ago when $500 bought a lot more than it does now. Since then he has won more things than I can remember.

Last weekend he spent the night here so he could get up early for a big sale and presentation at a local scuba store AND....he won a $300 dive computer.

Once upon a time I always won drawings too...but I haven't had that luck in a  very long time.

BUT,  yesterday I dragged the Captain to a bicycle presentation at the local library. It was very well done with films on bicycle safety and maps for local riding spots and how to take your bike on local transit. At the end there was a raffle. AND.....the Captain won a very nice cycling backpack....one that he had his eye on at REI.

AND...I won a pannier...

but since my work bike has mounted wire baskets I gave the pannier to the Captain....for his bike. Now he can ride to the grocery store and do errands and have a place to carry his things. (The other side has the mounts for the bike.)

I may just have to buy a lottery ticket today.
Are you lucky?
